How can the guy in the picture below feel confident? He’s 27 stone and had been drinking more than he liked, having not seen friends in 6 months and just been put in to a third lockdown like the rest of us. He can’t really can he. From personal experience he can’t. How can the same man go from that picture to going solo to an event with 800 other strangers in a city 430 miles away? Let’s get into it.
Maybe you’ll know where I’m coming from here where you’ve reached a point where you don’t know where the next step forward is. The natural step for me was to lose the weight. That built be up to another level of confidence. Changing your peer group slightly and being surrounded by badass people all the time. People that have fought ill-health, lost over 200lbs and all other kinds of stuff. You are the average of the people you spend the most time with. In July this year I felt so comfortable within a community, the fitness community that I felt I HAD to go meet everyone.
I have a story to tell, a story that I genuinely feel will inspire others and help people looking for someone like me. A lovely lady at this big fitness event I went to called Jude fired me up and told me to share it with the world. How did I have the confidence to not only go to this event but to tell my story to people I admire. People like Mr Motivator, Dr Mike 2nd, James Smith, Paul Mort. It’s the people around you of course. Bringing you to another level. Telling you to do what you said you would. Sam knows all about that one as does Danny. They were on my case about another act of confidence for weeks until I finally pulled the trigger.
So in short I feel like if you wanna have a boat load of confidence then surround yourself with confident people, do the traits of the greats task in my other blog. Just say screw it and say whatever you like, do what you feel. Within reason of course. Even if you act the most professional ever, you’ll still die one day. So do something childish once a day, do something dumb once a week and don’t be tight with money! There are no shops in heaven and you’re certainly not taking any with you.
I love writing blogs for me then pretending they are for you! Anyways if you’ve enjoyed it let me know down in those comments! I would really appreciate that. Share this with someone that’s a tight pr…don’t say the rest! That’s another blog from me. I’ll see you all very soon, until then don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. If you can’t be good be careful.
